It is rare to see male celebrities praised by women's magazines after divorces, but Guy has pulled off a coup. Several of the gossip rags were coo-ing over him following his settlement for custody rights without a cash remuneration. Perhaps this will help them see its not always the guys that are the baddies!

Mugabe must go

Having a family from Southern Africa including my mother who was born in Zimbabwe(then Rhodesia) It makes me extremely sad to see the state the region is in. People often ask my opinions on the politics there, and it is extremely taboo to suggest colonial rule, let alone apartheid was a more stable environment. Whilst freedom is a right every person on earth is entitled to, they have managed to swap one dictatorship for another.

A slippery Slope - Skiing and money

Skiing has always been a sport which is linked with money, certainly until the eighty's it was fairly unusual for anyone but middle class and upwards to holiday in the Alps or the Rockies,t but throughout the nineties as the larger tour operators expanded from budget beach holidays into club hotels and apartment block first in French resorts then throughout Europe the market opened up to allow ever those on the lowliest incomes the chance to holiday somewhere more glamorous,the problem with this is that making something just in reach, economically speaking, tends to tempt people to stretch their budgets and borrow cash. Those hit hardest by the credit crunch will be the ones who live on credit, which is unfortunately the ones who book with budget large scale tour operators. Whilst small chalet operators are having the last laugh now, with loyal and solvent client bases, the downturn in the budget market will eventually hit the resorts hard as a lack of guests of any class leads to a lack of cash for upgrades and maintenance.
